So in Worm fandom there’s this thing called an “aura theory” - it’s about how Amy’s crush on her adoptive sister Vicky was caused by the “love me” emotional manipulation aura that Vicky poorly controls and that Amy was subjected to for years.
The consensus among people kind of seems like it has been disproved and there is probably something in Ward about it - that the crush is either natural or at least caused by Amy power pushing her to conflict.
Personally I am okay with both - both explanations sound like they have merit and I don’t get why people even argue about it.
Calling Vicky “a victim” because of the thing Amy done after she had her breakdown and saying that the aura theory is wrong is stupid imo - it could be whatever the author decides it to be.
I guess it’s canon purism because technically the no-aura explanation is canon?.
But it could’ve very well been the aura 🤷
